Is guild wars good for someone who avoids MMOs? [on hold]

short version
I heard that Guild Wars is good for people that don't normally like MMOs.
Is this true?
long version The reason why I've become interesting is that I read about
Guild Wars and that it allows to solo the game. I normally avoid MMOs
completely (few years ago I wasted 2 weeks playing non-stop Lineage 2 on
local server, decided it is too unhealthy for me, plus I don't like being
forced into cooperative gameplay), but I do look for a game I could play
sometimes to relax(up to 2 hour per day) and that doesn't force me to
cooperate with other people but features somewhat changing world. Ideally
I would love to play a huge generated post-apocalyptic world with HUGE
fully destructible and fully explorable urban environments (huge means
they're comparable to real cities), but there's no game like that, and it
is unlikely that it'll be created any time soon.
So, is this this game worth trying for "non-social" player that prefers
solo and simply wants to unwind from time to time, or is it more or less
"standard" MMO that requires huge time commitement (to grind/etc)?
